You should upgrade to Fetch 4.0.2. You can download it from http://fetchsoftworks.com . It is a free upgrade -- it will accept your 4.0.1 serial number.
Thanks,

Jim,
I updated to FETCH 4.0.2. I was not asked to supply the registration number. When I checked the 'about FETCH' menu, it told me that I now was using 4.0.2. I am still unable to get to the directory. The dog justs runs and runs.

I would suggest toggling the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Preferences. Does that help?

When I connect to the web server then change directory the dog runs and runs while the program gets the list, but no list ever shows. I am able to use Fetch 4.0.1 on the same computer using 9.2.2. What gives?
