Is it possible that you are editing your web page in a word processor (such as Microsoft Word)? It looks like you have lots of extra data before the HTML text. You may need to "Save as..." the file as HTML before uploading.

Fetch SoftworksOur web page was created on Quark and uploaded through Fetch. I have it saved as
<base href="http://www.surestop.com/">
which is my first line of the index.html
but when the pages appears on the web it is
&àøÑ&ï<<<<<<<<<generic B&Worsetter<<&#fffd;<&#fffd;=
Ô<=><
GgÈ<base href="http://www.surestop.com/">and i don't know where the
&àøÑ&ï<<<<<<<<<generic B&Worsetter<<&#fffd;<&#fffd;=
Ô<=><
GgÈcomes from
and when you go to our web site the line
&Worsetter
appears in red as the first line

wondering why and how these lines appear on the top of my web site

I believe I have transfered my index.html properly.
The Worsetter shows up on our web page
I have tried several time to eliminate them with no luck.
Can you help.
