  Is there a way so that my files are never zipped

  By default Fetch uses the "Automatic" upload format, and with "Automatic" format Fetch will only zip files if they contain important information that would be lost otherwise. If Fetch is zipping files and you don't think it should be, we'd be very interested in hearing more information (such as what version of Fetch you are running).

  In the meantime, to tell Fetch to never zip files, you can set the upload format (the Format submenu of the Remote menu) to "Binary (Raw Data)".
