Fetch does not do or install anything that would cause your computer to connect automatically, so it's probably a coincidence that this started happening the day you installed Fetch. If Fetch is not running it has no effect on your computer -- it does not have any hidden background component.
If you are using Remote Access you might try unchecking the "Connect automatically when needed" box in the options window.

Ever since I installed Fetch (yesterday) my dialup connection is always on. When I manually disconnect, my computer automatically reconnects. Also, when I turn on my computer it automatically connects as well. This didn't happen before I installed Fetch. Any advice on how I can be in control of my connection?
Thanks! Karen
