    I hope someone can help...
I am attempting to upload a very large amount of files however, after a random number of files being successfully uploaded (the number of files changes every time) the dog runs and runs and I receive this error message:
"Server response: could not open data connection to port 44413. Operation timed out."
Unfortunately, after calling my ISP, there is no log on the server as to timing out or having a problem... my server still thinks I'm connected and is waiting for more data.
If I click okay (on the error message) and reload (without re-connecting) it will continue on until the next same error comes up.

Can someone solve this mystery for me please? It is most aggravating as I continually have to keep tabs on the program as to get all the files loaded properly.

    Thanks in advance.

I would try checking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Preferences. If that does not improve the situation could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents (or at least the first and last screenfuls)?

    Thanks,

Thanks Jim... that seemed to work nicely.
