Can't find Fetch path (4 posts)

The IT guy at my office installed a Fetch shortcut to my desktop. I assume its path is to somewhere on our network, but I can't find where the files are; can't find the path. When I look in the Fetch menus (SHORTCUTS --> Show shortcuts or edit shortcuts) it says that the Host is ftp.fetchsoftworks.com . But I am sure the files are in our Network FTP root folder somewhere. How can I find the path to these Fetch shortcuts? The IT guy doesn't work here anymore!

    Hi Katharine,

Are you trying to find out where on your hard drive of your Macintosh the shortcut file is located?

Or are you trying to figure out which folder on the server the shortcut opens to?

    Thanks,

    Hi Katherine,

You can find out the path by doing the following:

    * Open the shortcut (which opens Fetch).
    * Once the connection is open, click the Path button in the toolbar of the Fetch transfer window. That will show you a pop-down menu listing the location of the folder the shortcut opened.

Let me know if that doesn't do what you want.

    Thanks,
