  I am having difficulty connecting to a host server that I take care of. I get this error message "Server response: Could not open data connection to port 14651: Connection timed out." I tried changing the Firewall preference to passive mode (PASV), but when I do that, it just hangs. Please take a look at the Transcript and let me know if there is anything I can do. Thank you

  Hi Barbara,

  Have you been able to successfully connect to this server with Fetch before? That is, is this a new problem? Or have you never tried connecting to this server with Fetch before?

  Thanks, Scott, for your reply. Actually, it is fixed. I hounded the help desk of the host and, miraculously, it was fixed 12 hours later. And, yes, I had been able to connect previously.

  But, in the mean time, I found you guys and registered with you. So all is not lost.
