I recently tried logging into a newly purchased domain and hosting account in order to upload a new site, and I received this error message:
an FTP connection to "ftp.yocummarketing.com" could not be opened because an error has occured.
Net DB error 8.
The transcript is as follows:
Fetch 5.2.1 (5C263) Intel running on Mac OS X 10.5.5 (9F2114) Intel English
StuffIt Engine 0x820, StuffIt SDK Version 10.1.1b1
Partial serial FETCHEX001-GZSQ-EKBL T
Connecting to ftp.yocummarketing.com port 21 (Mac OS X firewall is off) (12/16/08 9:24:43 PM)

That error means "the hostname you entered does not exist." I have done some tests, and as far as I can tell, the address is "ftp.yocummarketing.com" is not associated with a server yet.
You should contact your hosting provider and make sure that is the correct hostname to use, and if it is, ask them to look into why it is not set up correctly yet.
(By the way, since you're on Mac OS X 10.5, you should update to Fetch 5.3, which is a free update for you. While it will not fix this problem, among other things, we did add a better error message for that error code.)
If you have further questions, please let us know.
