Fetch could not put in "file" because the SFTP server says the command failed. (2 posts)

The topic title shows the heading of the message, then it reads as follows:

If you entered a file name, folder name, or URL, check that it is correct, or contact the server administrator for assistance. Server responded: "No such file."

I was using Fetch to access my school campus's personal server space, and I was simply trying to drag a movie file from my desktop files to the folder on the remote server. I also tried using the "Put" function. I was able to successfully add the file to another folder, but with this more secure web space, I could not seem to get it to work. I was able to get some bigger files there in September. Is it possible I'm missing a step, or cannot remember what to do?

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi,

It might be helpful to take a look at the transcript for more information. Could you try uploading again, and then choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents of the window here, or at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback ?

    Thanks,
