    Hi
I work on a mac with an high-speed internet connection through our office network. For two years I've used Fetch to upload to Hiliter (a web-printer in another city).

On April 10 we moved. I have been told by our tech that our server was upgraded but nothing that would affect me has changed.

However, since then (for three months) I cannot upload a complete PDF of our magazine (approx 77 mb) to Hiliter.

The first time I thought it was a fluke and settled for uploading the Postscript file which was approx. 175 mb, (more than twice as big).

The second month I call our webmaster (and good friend) who also uses fetch. I could upload the pdf to her site and (I believe) she could transfer it to Hiliter. She had a more recent version and so I up graded.

Last week (month three) I uploaded the pdf file (77 mb) fine and thought it was fixed. But I found out that the color was wrong and had to change the file and try again. Now it won't up load and I had to send the postscript (again more than twice as big).

I called our webmaster. I uploaded it to her site. I tried (from my location) to upload it fron hers to theirs. It stalled at the same place 14.2 mb.

Can you tell if it is something with the file itself? Something on their site settings?

I've checked the boxes in preferences/obscure as recomended in another question here and am at a loss as to what to do next.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

It does sound like an interaction between the particular file and something on the printer's end (so that it affects uploads from both your computer and your webmaster's).

Does it work to resume the upload? To do that, click the Put button, and set the "If a file already exists:" menu to "Resume upload of file".

    Thanks,

resume didn't work. Or rather, it started up "stalled".

It definitely sounds like a conflict between that file and the printer's network or server. You might try uploading the same file from a different location, with a different program (such as Interarchy) -- if the problem persists you can talk to the printer with more confidence that the problem is not on your end.

    Thanks,
