Many errors when clicking thru directories (3 posts)

I've used Fetch a long time and have never seen such unrest. I've just installed MacX.1.5 and now downloaded 4.03. It took a long time running just to get Fetch to list the directories on my Web server. After the top level directories, I can't get any deeper. Here's the Transcript. Thanks for any help!

I'd try checking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences.

Also, I'd be curious to know what sort of router your Mac goes through to get to the Internet. It looks like it's broken, but hopefully the change suggested above will work around the problem.

Hi,
I want to thank you for the advice on checking the passive transfer box. Worked like a charm.

The router is a wireless LinkSys, and I guess it's working OK.
