Missing: Cache and Buffer Sizes? (2 posts)

    Previous versions of Fetch had a preference setting for the File List Cache size and the Transfer Buffer Size.

    I used to tweak these to gain extra performance from my available memory and fast internet connection.

    Does Fetch 4 determine the best values automatically based on my system configuration, or use a mid-range default? What is it using for each of these?

    Fetch 4.0 uses a buffer size of 128KB, and a cache size of 500KB, and there isn't currently a way to change that. I think I will revisit the decision to make the transfer buffer a fixed size in a future release.
