Using Windows at work, I use a program called SafeTP that encrypts the username and password when you login to an ftp site. Does any software do that for Mac's? Big security issue in using ftp sites.

    Hi,

For secure FTP, Fetch supports SFTP, FTP with Kerberos, and OTP (One Time Passwords), all of which encrypt the passwords and the data you send when you use them with a server that supports those types of connections. SFTP is the most common of these protocols, but your server may support one of the others as well - you should ask your administrator.

I am not aware of a Macintosh program that supports the SafeTP protocol, but SFTP and the other protocols that Fetch supports are at least as secure as SafeTP.

    Thanks,
