    I've been experiencing the same upload/connection problems as others have mentioned. I've been using Fetch for 12 years, and this is the first time this has ever happened. The passive mode firewall suggestion worked for me - thanks for posting that. What I don't understand is why this has never happened to me until now. BTW, I noted that the problem persisted on several sites that I upload to regularly as a webmaster. Might this be something to do with the most recent Apple update? (I'm on OS X, last update installed was 10.2.4, but I think I was using Fetch successfully after installing it for a while).

    There are a number of circumstances that can make PASV necessary. Most involve changes to the network that block incoming traffic to your Mac. Examples include turning on the OS X firewall, or installing a hardware router or firewall. AOL recently made a change to their network that blocks non-PASV FTP to their Mac dial-up subscribers.
