  I assume I am late for this, but with 5.7 I have lost the count of files in the current directory in the Transfer Window Status Pane.

  I just can't find that option or preference anymore. I've been using Fetch since about 1995!

  Hi,

  The item count should still be there, on the left side of the status bar (below the toolbar "Back" button, above the left side of the file list).

  It is so pale grey, and so small, it blended too much into the background. And I wasn't expecting it way up there. There it is.

  But no '.' and '..' files, that PHP fopen finds.

  I suppose I should have mentioned Fetch 5.7.1, OSX 10.7.4.

  Yes, Fetch does not list the "." and ".." items, since they are often confusing to people who don't come from a UNIX background.
