It looks like those customers are uploading in MacBinary format; they should upload in Raw Data or Automatic format instead.
Thanks,

Thanks for the reply.
I have had a customer use the following settings in 4.0.3.
------
Preferences: Genral tab
Uncheck “Use Internet Config”Upload tab
Upload: Raw Data
Check “Encode and decode file and folder names”Suffix Mapping: .pdf Binary Acrobat Reader
Select “Automatic” in the session window.
-------
Is there a setting on the Misc tab that should be looked at?Customers using earlier versions of Fetch do not have this issue.
I have tried to recreate this with 4.0 using MacBinaryII and was unsuccessful.
If the customer uploads the files to a unix machine and I download the file, it’s fine. -

I would have the customer choose "Raw Data" from the "Format" pop-up menu in the transfer window before uploading -- does that work?
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

When customers using Fetch 4.0.3 upload pdf files to our Mac ftp server (AppleShare IP v 6.2) the follow characters are appended to the begining of the files.
(code copied from a pdf file named 45.pdf)
·&#fffd;45.pdf·························································PDF CARO···········AO†····½&#fffd;&#fffd;Õ½&#fffd;&#fffd;×···mBIN················‚·&#fffd;n··%PDF-1.3
This causes our rip software to fail.
Customers have tried a multiple of different settings in Fetch and I have searched this message board.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jay
