I'm looking at Mac FTP clients for use by our web development group. Our Mac users are currently using the Transmit FTP client which doesn't seem to know how to handle an "Account:" request prompt. A user of ours
on a Windows box can successfully connect using the ws_ftp client, so this is not a failure on the part of the server. I'd like to know if the Fetch client can successfully connect to an FTP server using the instructions from the client which I have placed at
    http://www.pobox.com/~burnett/ftp.txt
(edited for the benefit of the client - the example IP in the instructions is irrelevant).

I have read through the FAQ, the message booards, and the doc, and haven't seen what I'm looking for here. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Fetch 4.0 supports the same proxy servers as WS_FTP, and even calls them by the same names :). This one is called "remoteID@remoteHost fireID" -- you want to choose that from the "Proxy Type" popup menu in the Firewall section of Preferences, and fill in the Proxy Host, Proxy UserID and Proxy Password fields as well.

Please let me know if you have any trouble.
