Have you tried unchecking the "Translate ISO Characters" box in the Misc section of Preferences?
If that does not help, do you know what character set these Chinese file names are using?

when the folders of a ftp write in Chinese as an example, all texts seem not to be read, so could the author add a new feature that support asian language folder and file names as the native function of RBrowserlite, which is not as stable as Fetch and has no satisfictory resume capability.
that would be so nice to have it in the near-future release.
