can't change permissions on folder using 'info' (5 posts)

    80% of the time, text is shown below (what's normally viewed in the transcript window) rather than the dialog popping up as when doing the same while selecting a file(s). Am I missing a step somewhere??

    I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. To change permissions on a folder, select the folder in the file list and click Get Info. The window that appears should have an "Ownership and Permissions" section which you can open by clicking its disclosure triangle. You can set different permission values and click the Apply button to make the change.

    What happens when you try to do this?

    Hasn't happened in a while. I believe after the fixes came along, my problem was fixed.
