If you have a proxy server or firewall you may need to configure Fetch to work with it. You'd do that in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences. The settings should probably match those of the PC FTP client.

We have found that if we are using public IPs that Fetch works fine, if we use private IPs it will not work (nor will FTP programs on a PC).
I'm not a networking guy and maybe this is a no-brainer for most people but it sure stumped our IT department for a while.
Thanks.

We cannot connect to our remote web server from computers in our school building. Our web site is hosted outside of our network. FTP from a PC works to connect, but MOST of the time Fetch does not work. It does work occasionally though. Are there proxy settings in Fetch that might cause problems? Firewall an issue?
Any ideas?
