Can't Even Connect! (2 posts)

    I am using Fetch 4.0.2 as a trial version, because we used it quickly in school a year or so ago & it looked like it could solve my current problems uploading files to a server.

    The problem, with Fetch, is I can't even connect to my server (Yahoo's Geocities). I keep getting the message "Error: Connection Attempt Timed Out". Did I put in the wrong name for "Host"? I put in "www.geocities.com".

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I've been working on this for quite a while!

    Do you have a free GeoCities account? Yahoo has stopped supporting FTP clients (such as Fetch) on their free accounts. To use Fetch with GeoCities you have to upgrade to a paid account.

    Also, I think the correct host name is ftp.geocities.com.
