I can connect to the server and then it says getting file list. After a few seconds it comes up ith "SERVER RESPONSE: Cannot open data connection"
I did check the firewall settings and the top box for passive was checked. I unchecked the box then quit the program and tried again. I then checked the PASSIve box and did a re-start and then tried it again. I still get the same message. Please help.

I have tried several more times and still cannot open a data connection on this server. I have been able to upload to another server for a different web page.

Could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents after you dismiss that error message?

Also, do you have the OS X firewall enabled on your computer?

    Thanks,

Just installed MAC OSX Panther 3.1 and Airport. and as a result cannot connect to my isp to upload - virgin.net.

    I use Airport via ethernet.

The dog runs but then a dialogue tells me: Can't build data connection. Connection timed out.

    What is wrong, please?
