Hi,
Thanks for including such a complete report initially!
Unfortunately, from looking at the two transcripts, there are no obvious hints to what the problem might be.
I would suggest two things - first, recommend that the client upgrade to Fetch 5.2.1, which is a free upgrade for her. We rewrote much of the networking code for Fetch 5.2, so it may fix this problem.
Second, if it does not, I'd see if simply quitting Fetch and reopening it solved the problem.
Please let us know if either of those suggestions helps or not.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Thanks Scott, I'll pass this information on. Since this is an intermittent issue, it may be awhile before I have a response for you, but I'll keep you posted.

We have a client who uses Fetch to upload files to our server. The server is UNIX (SGI) vanilla ftpd.
Yesterday morning she uploaded files fine. Yesterday afternoon while uploading different files the transfer would stop after one file. I don't know if she quit Fetch between morning and afternoon (I kind of don't think so). She tried the upload several times with the same result. Her session disconnected between tries, but I don't think she quit the application.
I had her log out of her computer and back in and then the transfers were successful. I'm not sure if simply quitting Fetch would have fixed it or not.
I'm including transcripts of a session that had the error and the session which completed successfully. She uploaded the VCSNJuly27 directory successfully in the morning. She was trying to upload the TWAMCJuly27 directory in the afternoon.
Any guesses what might have happened?
