  We recently switched to a Free BSD VPS for our web and ftp server. Our PCs with Filezilla continue to be able to download all files. All of our Macs with Fetch 4.0 (or Cyberduck) fail to download the entire file. They stop after 30-50 MB, on a 170 MB file and say that the download is complete (not that it failed). Do you have any idea what is going on here?

  Hi,

  Could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the complete contents the next time you see a download failure? I'll take a look for clues.

  Last time it completed, but the file size was only 50 of 170 MB

  Thanks. It looks like, in that case anyway, that Fetch noticed that there was an error. You should be able to double-click the partially downloaded file, or choose Resume Download from the Remote menu, and pick up the download where it stopped.

  Other than that, my first recommendation would be to try Fetch 5.3.1, which you can download from http://fetchsoftworks.com/downloads.html

  This is what happened with fetch 5.3.1 - the last file was large, and failed.

  We also got the message: "Fetch could not get "Filename" try again or contact server administrator....Server responded:"Opening Binary mode data connection for Filename"

  Are you able to resume the transfer by double-clicking the partially downloaded file?
