To do this you want to change the suffix mapping for .html files to point to DreamWeaver rather than to Netscape/IE. You would do this by choosing "Suffix Mappings..." from the Customize menu, and changing the entry for .html.
Let me know if this does not do the trick.

Is there a fetch preference/setting which allows Dreamweaver files to remain Dreamweaver files when downloaded/uploaded? I am putting files to a server which seems to have a problem with Mac generated DW files and am (happily) using Fetch. But the files are "converted" to Netscape/IE files, tho are openable directly in DW. I'm pretty new to this, as is plain to see.
