Error: "Server response: ST not reconized" (4 posts)

    This happens after beginning a download. After this message, Fetch must be restarted to resume any downloading. However, the message appears again after 4 or 5 files have come down.
    Mac OS 9.2.2
    Prefs: Automatic and "Automatic defaults to text" checked or unchecked (makes no difference in the result). I have had this problem in the past, but not recently.

    Can you advise?

    I would try checking the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" box in the Firewall section of Preferences. Does that help?

    Could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu after you get that error message and post the contents?
