Hi Richard,
You should try turning off Norton Anti-Virus (there should be a way to disable it temporarily) and see if that makes a difference; it could be that Norton Anti-virus is interfering with Fetch 4.0.3.
Please give that a try and let us know what happens.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Thanks. I disabled Norton, but received the same message - The computer is out of memory.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for checking that. Next, please try the following:
* Quit Fetch.
* Click the desktop background to select the Finder.
* In the Finder, go to the "Go" menu, and choose "Home"
* Open the Library folder
* Open the Preferences folder
* Find the Fetch Prefs and Fetch Cache files, and move them to the Desktop. (Don't put them in the Trash for now.)Then try to run Fetch. Does that fix the problem?
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Dear Scott,
I removed the Fetch Prefs and Fetch Cache folders from the Library/Preferences folders, but still received the same message.Richard Kurshan

Dear Richard,
Thanks for trying that. I'm sorry, but we don't have any further suggestions on how to fix the problem with Fetch 4.0.3. Our recommendation is to upgrade to Fetch 5.5; Fetch 4.0.3 is seven years old and we do not recommend it for use on Mac OS X 10.4.11 - while it may work most of the time, we have had a variety of reports of odd problems.
Our latest version, Fetch 5.5.3, works on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and we offer the upgrade for $10 to existing Fetch 4 owners. If you send an email to sales@fetchsoftworks.com, I will send you a link to get the upgrade price.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

I have been using ver 4.0.3. Suddenly, I get an error message - this computer is out of memory. I tried version 5.0.5 and it works OK. I downloaded and reinstalled 4.0.3. The only change that I can think is that I installed Norton anti virus program. I am running Mac OS 10.4.11 on an iBook. Thanks for your help.
