    I need help...

I seems simple, but it's not. How do I extract a zip file within Fetch? I don't want to download it, I just want to extract the file while it's still in fetch.

    Hi India,

We're sorry, but there isn't a way to do that with Fetch.

Fetch communicates with servers using a set of commands called either FTP or SFTP (depending on the type of connection you're using), and there isn't a standard FTP or SFTP command to say "unzip this file on the server." So, there is no way for Fetch to ask the server to unzip a file.

If you want to unzip a file on a server without downloading it, you'll probably need to connect to the server using the command line (using SSH or something similar). The people who run the server you are uploading files to may be able to tell you how to best accomplish this; you should contact them and ask.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

see if there's a C-Panel (control panel) your host provides which would have a "file manager". That could extract the file.
