  I need to keep track of what is being downloaded at one location and i am retrieving at another. How can I tell what all has been downloaded for the day.

  So people at one location are uploading files to a server, for you to download to your Mac at a different location?

  I could use more specifics about what you want to keep track of, and how you want it to work. Do you want to be notified whenever something has been uploaded to the server, so you know to download it?
