I would try choosing Customize > Fetch as FTP Helper > Stop helping Internet Explorer. If that does not help I would download a copy of Fetch 5 from http://fetchsoftworks.com and change the FTP helper setting to Safari in the General pane of Preferences.

Thanks Jim - I'll give it a shot! I think it's a sign that I should be upgrading from 4 to 5 anyway....

How can I get Fetch 4.0 to stop launching when I'm trying to connect to an FTP site using Safari? By mistake I hit "Make Fetch the Internet Configuration FTP Helper" under "Customize," and now I can't find a way to go back.
