Fetch cannot get the file list due to timeout (4 posts)

  I was using fetch and all of a sudden it froze. I closed out the app and then tried to re-sign in. Now it won't let me sign in. I get the message:
  "Fetch could not get the file list because there was a timeout trying to establish a passive mode data connection. A server firewall might be blocking passive mode (PASV) transfers. Please ask the server administrator for help."

  I have tried to search resolutions. I have tried logging in on different computers, one is older and one is newer. I have tried logging into different sites. Nothing works.

  Please help! I love Fetch!

  Hi Tiffany,

  Are you getting the same message on both computers and all the sites? Are both computers connecting to the Internet in the same way? It sounds like something might have changed in the network setup (e.g. a change in firewall rules) that blocks FTP.

  Hi Tiffany,

  Are you able to connect to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the Username and Password fields blank)? If not could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window?
