Fetch closing when trying to open (2 posts)

  We have been using Fetch 5 since July and recently each time we open Fetch, the program immeditely closes. We have downloaded the lastest version, but this has not helped. Do you have any suggestions?

  Before we received your response, we continued to try and open Fetch. After about an hour, Fetch opened and stayed open. I did go ahead and remove those three files and will send them. After talking to the other person in our office, he has noticed that if he waits about an hour after starting his computer, Fetch will work. Sounds strange, but it happens.

  Hi,

  Try this: Go to your Preferences folder (go to your Home folder, open the Library folder, and open the Prefrences folder), and move these three files out of the Preferences folder, but do not delete them:

  com.fetchsoftworks.Fetch.plist
  Fetch Preferences
  Fetch Cache

  If that fixes the problem, could you please either StuffIt those files or create a Mac OS X archive of them (select them and choose File > Create Archive), and send the archive to bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com so we can examine them to see what was causing the problem? (Your passwords are not part of those files.)

  If that does not fix the problem, let us know and we can try some other things.
