fetch never gets file list/how do i put in passive mode (2 posts)

    I am trying to upload files.

    the status says - GETTING FILE LIST but it never does.

    I called my host and they said that I had to put fetch in passive mode. I looked in the help section but there was nothing about passive mode.

    please help

    One hint about using Fetch Help: you can search for occurences of a word (like "passive") using the "Find" command in the Edit menu. Passive mode is mentioned in the Internet Config and Preferences topics.
