My understanding is that you need to make configuration changes in the ISA server, not in Fetch. It may help to check the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Preferences (in Fetch 4) or the General section of Preferences (in Fetch 5).

We're experiencing the same issue. Not being able to connect Macs to a MS ISA server. MS has ISA firewall client for PCs but not Macs and they offer no support or solution. Everyone has agreed that Fetch is probably the best substitute but I cannot find additional support. On your homepage you say that you will work with eleven different kinds proxy servers - is ISA one of them? Where are the 11 actually listed as well as detailed directions for proper configuration.
Thanks!

The proxy types supported by Fetch are:
SOCKS 4
SOCKS 4.3 (and MS Proxy 2.0)
SOCKS 5
SITE hostname
USER after logon
Proxy OPEN
Transparent
USER with no logon (aka user@host)
USER fireID@remoteHost
USER remoteID@remoteHost fireID
USER remoteID@fireID@remoteHostBut I don't think you want to choose any of these in order to make connections through a Microsoft ISA server.
Are you trying to connect to the ISA server, or through the ISA server to an FTP server that is on the other side? What happens when you try? Could you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents after you see a problem?
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

We have the same problem and same setup.....we are trying to connect to an FTP server on the other side. (FTP servers internally i.e. inside the ISA server are reachable)

Trevor: Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after an attempt to connect to an FTP server on the other side of the ISA server?
Thanks,
Jim Matthews

We have one Mac on our network with an ISA server controlling authentication. We are using surfcontrol to monitor where our users go on the network. We have allowed the MAC user to go to certain websites, and this does work correctly with his Safari Browser. However, Fetch 4.3 does nothing. We are wondering if we need to make PROXY setting changes in Fetch and what the proxy type would be. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
