just installed Fetch 4.0 (PB 400 Mhz, RAM 320 MB; OS 10.1.5), but the application won't launch--I get 2 error messages, the first saying "The application Fetch 4.0 has unexpectedly quit" and the second saying Application Launch Failure. The application "Fetch 4.0" could not be launched because of a shared library error: ""<fatcarbon 1.3> <fatcarbon 1.3> <> <>""

    any suggestions? thanks

You should get the latest release, Fetch 4.0.2, from http://fetchsoftworks.com . It fixes this problem, and is a free upgrade (it accepts the same serial numbers as Fetch 4.0).

Thanks Jim but I don't have serial number--my university supplied me with an educational version of Fetch (4.0, which doesn't work), but I can't register the upgrade w/o a serial number. Can you help with this one too? (I've informed our campus help desk, but I suspect it'll take them some time to upgrade their site license.) Pete

The serial number that your university got for Fetch 4.0 will work for 4.0.2. The university help desk should be distributing a copy of 4.0.2 (which they can download from our website) with their serial number entered; they do not need to apply for a new license.

    Thanks,

    Jim,

I evidently need the same update but I have a problem. I no longer have my serial number and I have been to the page where you can submit your email address. That's the problem: I now have a different ISP (and therefore different email address) than I did when I previously ordered Fetch.

Are there any other alternatives or suggestions?

    Thanks, Buck_W

Send a note to serial@fetchsoftworks.com with the email address that you used when you purchased your license; I will look up the serial number.

    Thanks,
