Folders missing (3 posts)

I have two machines that don't display a full list of folders. I can log in, from a few machines, and verify that there are 53 folders at the root level of the site I'm browsing. When I log in using the exact same credentials from the problem devices it shows 14. When I delete the cache folder from ~/Cache/ it will show 24. If I use the Go menu to go Home it goes back to 14. I logged in as a user and from a separate admin account and I get the same behavior.

    The machines are MacBook Pro (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz (8 virtual) (X64)) running OS 10.16, and Fetch 5.8.2.

I did a stare and compare of the Preferences on the machines and they are all set the same (Default).

    Hi,

Are you using Little Snitch or another network monitoring program, such as Norton, NetBarrier, Cisco VPN, etc? You can check by opening System Preferences and clicking on the Network icon; network monitoring software would be listed on the left side of the window. There is a problem with macOS Big Sur's support for network monitoring apps that causes empty or truncated file lists in Fetch. The problem appears to be fixed in MacOS Monterey.

    Thanks,

Yep, we run ESET internet security with anti-virus. I shut it down and all the folders appear. Thanks for your quick response.
