FTP Server Dropped Connection (2 posts)

  Hope you can help.
  I've just upgraded my Fetch program to 5.5 in the hope it would solve a 'dropped connection' problem I've recently been experiencing, but unfortunately I still seem to have the same problem.

  The message I receive is as follows:
  Fetch could not put "File Name" because the FTP server dropped the connection.
  Try again, or contact server administrator to verify the server is running.
  Server responded: "Opening BINARY mode data connection for "File Name"

  I realise this may not be a problem with Fetch at all, but my connection only drops out when I'm uploading to Fetch and not at any other time, so my internet connection is fine and I also have no problems with my emails, so I presume my outgoing and incoming mail servers are OK too.

  Just so you know I'm using a Mac, system Mac OS X Version 10.4.11

  Do you have any suggestions? I'm bit stuck as to what to try next but am quite desperate to solve the problem.
