I am using Fetch 4.01 on a G3 laptop running 9.2.2. When i connect to a server the program takes for ever to try to show the file list and never is able to.
I've tried deleting cache and preferences but nothing works. It sounds like the same problem people have with fetch and jaguar. It has worked on my machine- before I did a system reinstall. I'm sure it must be some settings I screwed up.
Any help would be very appreciated.
    Thanks.

The first thing I'd try is changing the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences (choose Preferences from the Customize menu). If that doesn't work I'd post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window (choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu).

    Thanks,

Thanks for the quick reply. I am in OS 10.2 right now and I have the same problem. It still sits trying to get a file list forever whether PASV is checked or unchecked. Here is the transcript info-
I will try this in 9.2.2 as well

I also forgot to mention- when I click the stop button after the file list does not show, up the program just quits on me...

I'd download Fetch 4.0.3 from http://fetchsoftworks.com -- that will take care of the unexpectedly quitting problem. Then it'd be interesting to see a transcript with PASV unchecked.

    Thanks,

    It works.
Thank you thank you thank you. I haven't tried it in Classic yet, but as long as it works in OSX I'm happy.
    This is great support.
