Hi,
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion.
However, I'm sorry, but we have no plans to develop Fetch for Linux at this time.
Best,

Hello Scott:
Thanks for your very fast reply.
I thought MacOSX is actually UNIX running on Intel CPU based Macintosh, and Linux is based on UNIX technology and running on most of Linux PCs are Intel CPU based computer, too. So I just think that, not too difficult to compile Linux version of Fetch FTP client software.
I still wish and dream I will see the Linux version of Fetch in the future.
Thank you.

Hi,
Unfortunately it's not as simple as just recompiling. Fetch uses a variety of Mac OS X-specific libraries - such as the ones that draw the user interface - that are not available on Linux, and so we would have to do a significant amount of rewriting.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire

Hello.
I'm a longtime Mac user since the Macintosh was System6 and also I use Fetch when developed at the University. Now I'm using MacOSX and also Debian GNU/Linux and ubuntu Linux everyday and I wish to use Fetch on Linux desktop, too. as a S/FTP and FTP/S client. If possible, please consider to make the version for Linux OSes.
Best regards,
T
