You can fix this in Fetch 4 by following these steps:
1) Choose "Suffix Mapping..." from the Customize menu.
2) Scroll down to the .html entry
3) Select the .html entry and click Change
4) Change the Creator code from MSIE to R*ch
5) Change the "Name for this type of file" to BBEdit
6) Click OK twice to save the change. In Fetch 5 the process is simpler:
1) Choose a .html file in the file list and click Get Info
2) Set the "Open files like this with:" menu in the Transfer Options pane to BBEditThanks,

I just upgraded to OS X and since then, with a registered version 4.0.3 all my txt and html files default to IE icons. Ergo, they do not open BBedit once downloaded. I have to open through BBedit, resave them and overwrite and then I can use them till I upload again.
What am I missing?
I swear I looked through all the preferences and cannot find this variable.
HELP! I am wasting precious time.
