You should choose "Post-processing..." from the Customize menu in Fetch and disable or remove the actions that launch iTunes.

I had to delete fetch completly in order for it to launch. However, after each file is completly downloaded to the hard drive and folder I chose for them itunes launches and proceedes to play said file. How can I stop that from happening. I copy my downloaded files to my ipod as needed and hardly ever play them with itunes on my computer. In addition, it is annoying to have itunes launch after each file is complete as I frequently download dozens of files per session.
