jpeg files transfer as quicktime (4 posts)

    I am trying to transfer some jpeg files from
    my ibook (OS X) to a PowerMac with OS 8.6 and an earlier version of Fetch.

    The file icon changes to a Quicktime image and I am unable to open the files for use in
    index.html files for my Web pages.

    Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after you do the transfer? Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to reveal the window.

    I only included the pertinent section. The July 4 transfers are the files in question. Trying to open them on the receiving computer causes a crash.

    What is the URL of the web page with these images?

    The fact that they have a QuickTime icon in Fetch does not indicate a problem -- QuickTime has icons for a number of file types, including JPEGs.
