  Since 5.7 upgrade, Mirror leads to spinning disc but no action.

  Fetch 5.7 is different from 5.6 in that it first figures out which files need to be mirrored, and only then actually does the transfers. So the "Preparing to transfer..." step can take a while, but eventually you should see the transfers (if any are required). If you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu you can see the commands going by.

  I would recommend waiting a while. If it never seems to finish, please send us the contents of the Fetch Transcript window at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback .

  Thanks. It was indeed working away and after 20 minutes shifts files. That's a long time even if users aren't accustomed to seeing frantic activity in the Fetch window's bottom bar. Perhaps you could put 'comparing timestamps - this may take some time' or better, 'Preparing - see Transcript window'.
