Yes -- run the SetSecretOptions script that comes in the Fetch Example Scripts folder to tell it to stop sending NOOPs.

Thanks Jim. I just tried that and ran into a big problem. Even with only the 0S 9.1 base extensions installed, it froze my PowerBook ever time I ran it. Other scripts seem to run fine, so I was wondering if you know if it might be a problem with the Fetch script.
Thanks,
John

That script contains lots of commands. Try commenting out the non-pertinent ones.

If you want Fetch to stop sending NOOP commands all you need is:
tell application "Fetch 4.0"
set dont send NOOP to true
end tellJim Matthews

Is there a button or option to disable NOOP commands within Fetch? I'm trying to download some shn music files but the site's FTP server keeps banning me because Fetch is submitting NOOP commands. How can I disable this so I can finish getting the files?
Thanks,
John
