It sounds like the person on the other end has Acrobat 9, which makes any .pdf file that she receives look like an Acrobat 9 file. Does the recipient have any trouble opening the files?

No - actually we have the capability of reading Acrobat 9 - they do not. We have our settings though set to 4. If we send it through a different FTP program (Cyberduck) it works fine, we have only had the problem with Fetch. I didn't know if there was some setting w/in Fetch that automatically upgrades the pdf?
Thanks!

No, Fetch does not upgrade the PDF.
Do you see different results if you set the Remote > Format menu to Binary before uploading?
Thanks,

I am saving my documents to Acrobat 4 but when I drop them on Fetch & the person on the other end retrieves them they are showing up as Acrobat 9. Is there a way to hold the old Acrobat file?
Thanks
