My guess is that there is a suffix mapping that is assigning a certain type/creator to .php files, and a post-processing action that passes files with that type/creator to StuffIt Expander. I would suggest checking the Suffix Mapping... window to see what it says for .php.

Fetch thought it was a BinHex because the type was TEXT and therefore launched stuffit expander.
Thanks

[Fetch 4.01 and OSX 10.1]
Every time I download a file with the suffix .php stuffit expander launches and then complains that it doesn't recognise the file. I'm guessing that this is a fetch problem and that fetch is launching stuffit expander. I have internet config set to off and have looked through post-processing but can't seem to solve the problem, any further clues appreciated.
Regards
