Running Fetch does not make files on your computer "available to anyone who wishes to see." The IT department may be confusing Fetch, an FTP client, with FTP server software. (And even then it's possible to run FTP server software that keeps unauthorized users away from your files.)
Thanks,

I am exploring the opportunity of sending art files to my print vendor via ftp with Fetch. My IT dept. told me that by having this software on my computer, it will make ALL existing files on my computer available to anyone who wishes to see via internet. This sounds absolutely crazy to me. Am I missing some key info here?
