super slow download from a specific FTP site (2 posts)

  I have version 5.3.1 and I'm using an iMac OS 10.6.8. For years I've been downloading large files very quickly from a particular FTP site, but now it's super slow. The FTP site seems to work well for others, though, so I figure the problem is on my end. Also, I download files from WeTransfer at lightening fast speeds, so I figure the problem is with the way I have Fetch configured. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  There aren't really any Fetch settings that I can imagine having that effect. Could it be an issue with your Internet connection (e.g. is someone else doing big transfers over the same connection)?
