trouble uploading to my url (2 posts)

  I am new to setting up websites and have read all the help sections but am still having problems. I built a welcome page in iweb and then followed the steps to publish it to a folder. I then went to fletch and followed the instructions in which I dragged and dropped the folder from finder into the Fletch bone on the dashboard. This is where I am stuck. I want to upload it to the server but I am not sure how to do this. I click the put button but it opens my finder window. Should it not go to the server to upload the files there? The server I am using is called Hostpapa. Any help would be appreciated

  Hi,

  Yes, when you click the Put button, it shows you a dialog to choose files on your Macintosh. You should select the files or folders you want to upload, and then click on the Put button at the button of that dialog. Then your files will begin uploading.

  Alternately, you can connect to your server using the Fetch New Connection dialog. The Fetch transfer window should appear. Then you can drag your files and folders to the Fetch transfer window in order to upload them.

  While the Fetch bone on Dashboard can also be used for uploading, probably as a beginning user it's best not to start with it.

  Also, I realize that you said you read all our help, but just in case, I want to mention the Uploading Web Pages tutorial page, just in case you missed it. It outlines the necessary steps for uploading your files.
