Hi Jon,
Some servers require that you upload your webpage files to a specially named folder, and if you do not upload to that folder, you'll get a permissions error.
This folder is usually named something like "public_html", "htdocs", or "www" - the exact name will depend on your server. Usually you do not need to create this folder, it should already exist.
Could this be the problem?
When you connect to your server, look to see if you see a likely named folder, double-click on it to open it, and then try uploading your website files.
If that doesn't appear to be the problem, let us know, and we'll help you investigate further.
Thanks,
Scott McGuire
Fetch Softworks

Hi,
Having trouble uploading a new site - attempted to upload the files I want but get this message - Fetch could not put "index.html" because the FTP server encountered an error accessing a file or folder. If you entered a file name, folder name or URL, check that is is correct. Server responded: "index.html:Permission denied"
I am wanting to load a website created in rapidweaver and exported to my hard drive. I have tried several ways to load the files including Put and dragging and dropping the files.
Some help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
